Sign in to your GA4 account and select the property you want to track traffic sources for.
In the left-hand menu, click on "Acquisition".
Under "Acquisition", you will see different options such as "Overview", "Campaigns", "Google Ads", and others. Click on the option that suits your needs the best. For example, if you want to track traffic from specific campaigns, click on "Campaigns".
Within your selected option, you will have access to different reports and insights related to your traffic sources. For example, in the "Campaigns" section, you will see a report showing the performance of your campaigns and the traffic they generate.
To get more granular information about the traffic sources, you can navigate to "All Traffic" under the "Acquisition" section. Here, you will find a breakdown of your traffic sources, including organic search, direct traffic, referrals, social media, and more.
You can further explore the traffic sources by clicking on each specific source, and GA4 will display more detailed information about the users coming from that specific source.
Additionally, you can utilize UTM parameters in your campaign URLs to track specific sources, mediums, and campaigns. This allows you to identify and differentiate traffic coming from various marketing efforts. Remember that GA4 has a different data model and interface compared to the previous Universal Analytics version, so some functionalities may be different or require adaptation.
