To enable or disable the browser history feature in Mozilla Firefox, you can follow these steps:
- Open Mozilla Firefox on your computer.
- Click on the three horizontal lines icon in the top-right corner of the browser window to open the menu.
- From the menu, select "Options" or "Preferences" (on older versions of Firefox).
- In the Options or Preferences window, click on the "Privacy & Security" tab in the left-hand sidebar.
- In the "History" section, you will see an option titled "Firefox will." Here, you can choose one of the following options:
"Remember history" to enable the browser history feature. This means Firefox will save your browsing history.
"Use custom settings for history" to have more control over your browsing history. After selecting this option, additional settings will appear below.
"Never remember history" to disable the browser history feature. This means Firefox will not save your browsing history.
- After choosing the desired option, you can close the Options or Preferences window.
Please note that disabling the browser history feature will prevent Firefox from saving your browsing history, but it won't delete any existing history. If you want to clear your browsing history, you can do so by pressing "Ctrl+Shift+Delete" on your keyboard, which opens the Clear recent history window. From there, you can select the desired time range and specific elements to clear.
