Here are some ways to manage and organize tabs in Google Chrome:
- Pin tabs: Right-click on a tab and select "Pin tab" to shrink its size and move it to the left of the tab bar. This is useful for tabs you want to keep open all the time.
- Group tabs: Right-click on a tab and select "Add to new group." You can then label that group and color code it. This helps keep related tabs together and makes it easier to switch between them.
- Use tab manager extensions: There are several extensions available that can help you manage and organize your tabs. Some popular ones include Tabli and Toby.
- Use keyboard shortcuts: Use Ctrl + Tab to switch to the next tab and Ctrl + Shift + Tab to switch to the previous tab. Use Ctrl + (1-9) to switch to a specific tab.
- Drag and drop tabs: You can drag and drop tabs to rearrange their order or move them to a new window.
- Search for tabs: Use Ctrl + Shift + T to reopen the last closed tab. You can also search for tabs by typing in the address bar and selecting the tab you want from the drop-down menu.
- Close multiple tabs: Use Ctrl + Click to select multiple tabs and then right-click and select "Close tabs" to close them all at once.
