To segment and filter out robot traffic in Google Analytics, you can create and apply filters in Google Analytics settings. Here are the steps to do so:

  1. Sign in to your Google Analytics account and go to the Admin section.
  2. In the View column, click on "Filters".
  3. Click on the "+Add Filter" button.
  4. Give a name to your filter (e.g., "Exclude Robot Traffic").
  5. Choose the "Predefined" filter type.
  6. Under the "Select filter type" dropdown, choose "Exclude" > "traffic from the IP addresses" > "that are equal to".
  7. To find a list of known robot IP addresses, you can visit sites like https://www.robotstxt.org/db.html, which provide a comprehensive list of known robot IP ranges. Copy the list of IP addresses based on your requirements.
  8. Paste the list of IP addresses into the "Expression" input box in the filter settings. Separate each IP address with a pipe symbol (|).
  9. Click on the "Save" button to save the filter.
  10. Wait for some time (usually a few hours) for the filter to take effect.

This filter will exclude any traffic coming from the specified IP addresses, effectively filtering out the robot traffic from your Google Analytics data. Note that it's important to keep the filter up-to-date by periodically checking for new robot IP addresses and adding them to the filter expression.
