To shorten a link for a Facebook post, you can follow these steps:

1. Go to a link shortening service like Bitly, TinyURL, or Ow.ly. We will use Bitly as an example.
2. Open Bitly's website (www.bitly.com) in your web browser.
3. Copy the long URL you want to shorten. You can do this by highlighting the entire URL in the address bar of your browser and right-clicking to select "Copy" or using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+C (or Command+C on a Mac).
4. On Bitly's website, you will see a box in the middle of the page. Paste the long URL you copied into that box. To do this, right-click in the box and select "Paste" or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+V (or Command+V on a Mac).
5. Once you have pasted the URL, click on the "Shorten" button next to the box.
