To enable or disable automatic tab discarding in Google Chrome, follow these steps:

  1. Open Google Chrome.
  2. In the address bar, type "chrome://flags" and press Enter.
  3. Scroll down to "Automatic tab discarding" or search for it using the search bar.
  4. Click on the drop-down menu next to "Automatic tab discarding" and select "Enabled" to enable or "Disabled" to disable.
  5. Restart the browser for the changes to take effect.

Note: Enabling automatic tab discarding will help conserve system resources, but may also cause tabs to reload when you switch back to them. Disabling it will prevent tabs from being automatically discarded but may also use more system resources.
