To add Google Analytics to Shopify, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to your Shopify account.
  2. From the Shopify admin, go to "Online Store" and select "Preferences."
  3. Scroll down to the "Google Analytics" section.
  4. In a new tab or window, sign in to your Google Analytics account.
  5. Click on the "Admin" tab at the lower-left corner of the page.
  6. In the "Property" column, click on the dropdown menu and select the website you want to track.
  7. Under "Property," click on "Tracking Info" and select "Tracking Code."
  8. Copy the entire tracking code displayed on the page.

Additional steps to add Google Analytics to Shopify:

  1. In the Google Analytics section in your Shopify admin, check the box for "Use Enhanced Ecommerce."
  2. If you want to track your checkout process, go to the "Checkout" option in the Google Analytics section and check the box for "Use Enhanced Ecommerce for Shopify checkout."
  3. Click on "Save" to save the changes.
  4. To verify that Google Analytics is properly installed, go back to your Google Analytics account and click on "Realtime" in the left-hand menu. Open your Shopify store in a new tab or window, and you should see your actions appear in the "Realtime" report of Google Analytics.
