To create a dashboard in GA4 (Google Analytics 4), follow these steps:

  1. Sign into your Google Analytics account and navigate to the desired property.
  2. In the left-hand navigation panel, click on "Analysis".
  3. From the Analysis Hub, click on "Dashboards".
  4. Click on the "Create" button to start building your dashboard.
  5. You will be presented with two options: "Blank Canvas" or "Starter Dashboard". Choose one based on your preference - the blank canvas allows you to create a custom dashboard from scratch, while the starter dashboard provides a pre-built template to work from.
  6. If you choose the blank canvas option, you will need to add widgets manually. Click on the "Add widget" button and select the type of widget you want to add, such as a metric, pie chart, or time series.
  7. Customize the widget by selecting the appropriate data source, metrics, dimensions, and filters. You can also adjust the visualization options like colors, date ranges, and comparison options.
  8. Continue adding and customizing widgets until you have included all the desired information in your dashboard. You can rearrange the widgets by dragging and dropping them to your preferred position.
  9. Once you are satisfied with your dashboard's layout and content, click on the "Save" button.
  10. Give your dashboard a name, choose the visibility settings (private or shared with others), and click on the "Save" button again.

Your dashboard is now created and ready to use. You can access it anytime by going to the Analysis Hub and selecting "Dashboards" from the left-hand navigation panel.

Note: Please note that as GA4 is still in its early stages, the dashboard functionality may evolve over time. The steps provided here are based on the current version as of October 2021.
