To set the proxy in Chrome, follow these steps:
- Open Chrome browser on your computer.
- Click on the three-dot menu icon located at the top-right corner of the browser window.
- From the dropdown menu, select "Settings."
- Scroll down and click on the "Advanced" option to expand the settings.
- In the "System" section, click on "Open proxy settings."
- This will open the "Internet Properties" dialog box in your computer's Control Panel.
- Go to the "Connections" tab in the Internet Properties dialog box.
- Click on the "LAN settings" button at the bottom.
- In the Local Area Network (LAN) Settings dialog box, check the box that says "Use a proxy server for your LAN."
- Enter the IP address and port number of the proxy server you want to use in the respective fields.
- If the proxy server requires authentication, click on the "Advanced" button and enter the username and password provided by the proxy provider.
- Click "OK" to save the changes and close all the open dialog boxes.
Now, Chrome will use the specified proxy settings for all the web requests made through the browser.
