To set page-level variables in Adobe DTM, follow these steps:
- Log in to your Adobe DTM account and navigate to the desired property.
- Click on the "Rules" tab in the top navigation bar.
- Click on the rule you want to set the page-level variables for, or create a new rule by clicking the "Create Rule" button.
- In the rule configuration panel, scroll down to the "Core" section.
- In the "Core - Set Data Values" section, click on the "Add Action" button to add a new action.
- Select the action type "Set Data Values" from the dropdown menu.
- In the "Set Data Values" section, click on the "Add Data Element" button to add a new data element.
- Give the data element a name and select the appropriate data element type (e.g., Custom Script, Data Layer Variable, Context Data Variable).
- Set the value of the data element by using JavaScript code, referring to other data elements, or selecting a predefined value from the dropdown menus.
- Save the rule configuration.
- Publish the changes to the desired environment (e.g., development, staging, production) by clicking the "Publish" button in the top right corner.
