To track your WordPress hits using Google Analytics, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to your Google Analytics account.
  2. Go to the Admin section of your Google Analytics account.
  3. In the Property column, click on "Create Property" or select an existing property.
  4. Fill in the required details for the property and click on "Create."
  5. After creating the property, you'll see the "Tracking ID" for your property. Make a note of this ID.

Now, let's move on to setting up Google Analytics in WordPress:

  1. Install and activate a Google Analytics plugin on your WordPress site. The two popular options are MonsterInsights and Google Analytics Dashboard for WP (GADWP). For MonsterInsights: Go to your WordPress dashboard and navigate to "Plugins" > "Add New." Search for "MonsterInsights" and install the plugin. After activating the plugin, go to "Insights" in your WordPress dashboard. Connect your Google Analytics account by following the plugin's setup wizard. For Google Analytics Dashboard for WP: Go to your WordPress dashboard and navigate to "Plugins" > "Add New." Search for "Google Analytics Dashboard for WP" and install the plugin. Once activated, go to "Analytics" in your WordPress dashboard. Enter your Google Analytics tracking ID.
  2. After configuring the plugin, it will start tracking your WordPress hits and sending data to Google Analytics.

Now, when you log in to your Google Analytics account, you can navigate to the "Reports" section to view various statistics and insights about your WordPress website traffic.
