To exclude hits from Google Tag Manager in Google Analytics, you can create a filter in your Google Analytics view to exclude specific traffic coming from Tag Manager.

Here’s how you can do it:

  1. Log in to your Google Analytics account and go to the Admin section.
  2. Under the View column, click on Filters.
  3. Click on the red "+ Add Filter" button.
  4. Name your filter (e.g., Exclude Tag Manager hits).
  5. Select "Custom" as the filter type.
  6. In the Filter Field dropdown, select “Hostname” as the dimension.
  7. In the Filter Pattern field, enter the domain(s) where your Tag Manager container is deployed. If you have multiple domains, separate them with a pipe (|) character.
  8. Click on "Verify this filter" to make sure it is excluding the Tag Manager hits correctly.
  9. Once verified, click on "Save" to apply the filter to your Google Analytics view.

By setting up this filter, you can exclude hits coming from your Tag Manager container and ensure that your Google Analytics data is not skewed by internal traffic or hits triggered by your tags.
