To track a specific link using Google Tag Manager, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to your Google Tag Manager account.
  2. Navigate to your container and click on "Tags" in the left-hand menu.
  3. Click on "New" to create a new Tag.
  4. Give your Tag a descriptive name.
  5. Under "Choose Product," select "Google Analytics" or any other tracking tool you use.
  6. In the "Tag Configuration" section, select the appropriate Tag type for your tracking tool (e.g., Universal Analytics, GA4, etc.).
  7. Configure the Tag settings according to the requirements of your tracking tool. For Google Analytics, you will need to provide your tracking ID.
  8. Scroll down to the "Triggering" section and click on "Choose a Trigger."
  9. In the Trigger configuration window, click on "+ New" to create a new Trigger.
  10. Give your Trigger a descriptive name.
  11. Under "Trigger Configuration," click on "Some Link Clicks."
  12. In the rules builder, click on "Choose," and select the condition that matches the specific link you want to track. You can define the specific link using various conditions such as URL, classes, IDs, attributes, etc.
  13. Once you have configured the Trigger condition, click on "Save" to return to the Tag configuration.
  14. Click on "Save" again to save the Tag.
  15. Finally, click on "Submit" to publish your changes to the live GTM container.

Now, the specific link you defined will be tracked using the Tag you created in Google Tag Manager. Remember to test your implementation and verify that the tracking is working as expected.
