To track the traffic of a single folder in Google Analytics, follow these steps:

  1. Set up Google Analytics: If you haven't already, sign up for Google Analytics and set up your website or app by creating a Property and obtaining a Tracking ID.
  2. Create a new filter: Go to the Admin section of your Google Analytics account. In the View column, click on "Filters" and then click on "+ Add Filter".
  3. Name your filter: Give your filter a name, such as "Folder Traffic".
  4. Define the filter settings:
  • Filter Type: Choose "Predefined" or "Custom", depending on your needs.
  • Filter Field: Select "Page".
  • Filter Pattern: Enter the folder's path using regular expressions. For example, if you want to track the traffic of the "blog" folder, you can use "^/blog/" as the filter pattern to track all URLs starting with "/blog/".
  1. Verify the filter: To ensure the filter is working correctly, click on "Verify this filter" to see a preview of the data that will be affected by the filter. Check if the filter is capturing the desired traffic.
  2. Save the filter: Once you're satisfied with the filter settings, click on "Save" to apply it to your Google Analytics View.
  3. Wait for the data to populate: It may take some time for the filtered data to appear in your Google Analytics reports. Be patient and regularly check your reports to see if the filter is working as expected.

By following these steps, you will be able to track the traffic of a single folder in Google Analytics. Keep in mind that filters are retroactive, so they won't affect historical data. Additionally, it's a good practice to keep a separate unfiltered View to preserve the original data.
